Smok TFV8 V2 Replacement Coils

The SMOK TFV8 Baby V2 Replacement Coils are designed for the TFV8 Baby V2 tank (also the TFV-Mini V2), and come in a pack of 3 covering the A and K coils, five of SMOK's seven V2 codes, in resistances of 0.15, 0.17 and 0.2 Ohms, all sub-ohm and direct-to-lung (DTL).

Each coil is fitted with a stainless steel body and antibacterial medical cotton, built for high VG e-liquid of 70% or above, delivering plenty of vapour.

Made for the Baby V2 Tank

The coils are made for the TFV8 Baby V2 / TFV-Mini V2, a 2ml stainless steel sub-ohm tank with a rotary top-fill cap and adjustable airflow at the base. The R-Kiss, the R-Kiss 2 and the SMOK Species 230W kit are all built around that tank, and they are compatible with the full range.

The original TFV8 Baby, or Baby Beast, uses the V8 Baby coils instead, including the T8, T6, X4, Q2, M2 and Mesh. V2 coils do not fit it, and its own TFV8 Baby coils do not fit the V2 tank.

Mesh A Coils

The A1 is a single mesh with a larger heating area, the A2 a dual mesh with SMOK's cobra mesh for more airflow and vapour production, and the A3 a triple mesh. The A1 excels at higher wattages.

Quad and Octo K Coils

The K coils are SMOK's quad (4) and octo (8) builds, both giving dense clouds. The K1 is rated for the higher wattages of the two, and the K4 sits in the middle of the seven codes. Both K codes are available here.

Do I need to prime a new Baby V2 coil?

Yes, and more so here than on a low-power coil. Fill the tank and allow a few minutes so the coil can fully saturate before you vape it, which helps prevent dry hits and a burnt taste on thick high VG e-liquid. Set your wattage low for the first few draws, then work up towards the coil's best figure.

What about the S1 and S2 coils?

The S1 and the S2 are the other two V2 codes. The S1 is a single mesh and the S2 a quadruple coil, both 0.15 Ohms, at 40-80W and 30-70W, so they are the low-power end of the range. The S coils are suited to lower powered kits, and both the Stick V9 and the Stick V9 Max have a max output of 60W. The K1 and the K4 are compatible with those two kits as well, and the K4, which works best around 60-80W, is the one in this pack for a 60W kit.

Which coil do I need if mine says 0.15 Ohms?

Four of the seven codes are 0.15 Ohms, the A3, K4, S1 and S2, with power ranges anywhere between 30W and 110W. So match the code, not the number. Two of the four are in this pack, the A3 best at 80-90W and the K4 at 60-80W. If you are replacing like for like, check the code on your old coil or the last pack you bought.
