What is a Vape Kit?

They contain almost all of the components you need (aside from e-liquid) to get started straight away. Vape kits come in a variety of different forms, but each one will include a battery-powered device, as well as a pod or tank, and a coil. 

How do Vape Kits work?

Vape kits are made up of three main components: the battery, the pod/tank, and the coil.

Battery/Mod

The vape battery is responsible for powering the kit and heating the coil, they’re the main body of the setup. You’ll find that some vape kits feature an integrated built-in battery, whilst advanced setups may require one or two external batteries.

Pod/Tank

Pods and Vape Tanks are the part of the device that holds the e-liquid, and the coil. Vape tanks tend to be made of glass, whilst vape pods are made using plastic.

Vape Coil

The vape coil is arguably one of the most important aspects of a vape kit. They’re the part of the vape that transforms the e-liquid into smooth, satisfying vapour. However, the quality of the coil and its build determine how much flavour you receive from your e-liquid. The amount of vapour the coil creates is due to its resistance, which is measured in Ohms (Ω), with higher-resistance coils producing less vapour than those with a low resistance.

What are Pod Kits?

Pod kits are a type of vape that come with a pod, often made of plastic, rather than a tank. There are two different types of pod kit; refillable pod kits, and prefilled pod kits, each of which has their own unique advantages.

What are Mouth-to-Lung Vape Kits?

Mouth-to-Lung vape kits, A.K.A MTL vape kits, are a type of vape kit that’s designed specifically to simulate the sensation of smoking. They use pods or coils with a higher resistance (usually 0.8 Ohms or above), and produce minimal vapour. 

MTL vapes are ideal starter vape kits for those who are transitioning from smoking to vaping, as you first inhale the vapour into your mouth, before then taking it into your lungs and exhaling.

What are Sub-Ohm Vape Kits?

Sub-ohm vape kits, also known as Direct-to-Lung, or DTL, vape kits, are intended for experienced vapers who enjoy large clouds of vapour. They offer vapers the ability to customise their experience through features such as variable wattage, adjustable airflow, removable vape tanks, and more. Advanced vape kits use coils or pods with a lower resistance (0.4 Ohms or less) and provide more power than MTL vape kits.
