IP68 Tri-Proof Build

The IP68 Tri-Proof rating covers water, dust and shock, a step up from the IP67 the rest of the Aegis range usually carries. The Aegis Hero 5 Vape Kit is rated to survive submersion to 1.5m for up to 30 minutes, keeps dust out and takes the everyday drops and knocks, so it's a good fit for work, the outdoors or the bottom of a bag.

A-Lock

The A-Lock prevents accidental firing when the Aegis Hero 5 goes in a pocket or bag.

All-Day Power

The 2000mAh built-in battery is enough to take most users through a full day before a recharge. The Aegis Hero 5's output is adjustable from 5W up to 50W, so you can turn it up for a warmer, fuller draw or down for something tighter. The screen shows wattage, battery, coil resistance and puff count, and recharging is quick via USB-C.

Top-Fill Pod, Long-Lasting Coils

The Hero 5 pod is a 2ml refillable pod with top filling, so you lift the top and fill it without removing the pod from the device. It carries replaceable B Series Boost coils, and in the box you get two: a 0.2 Ohms fitted, tuned for direct-to-lung (DTL), and a 0.4 Ohms spare on the restricted direct-to-lung (RDL) side. The full B Series Boost range fits, from 0.2 Ohms up to 1.2 Ohms, and the 0.8 and 1.2 Ohms coils bring the draw in to mouth-to-lung (MTL).

Each B Series Boost coil is rated for up to 40ml of e-liquid, double the 20ml the last generation managed, so you swap coils less often and spend less keeping it going. It helps to match the e-liquid to the coil: high-VG e-liquids suit the coils in the box, while the higher-resistance B MTL coils are made for 50/50s and nic salts.

Adjustable Airflow

An adjustable airflow control on the device fine-tunes the draw alongside the coil you've fitted. Close it down towards a tight MTL inhale, or open it up for an airier DTL draw.
