Choosing your Gen device
The right group depends on the draw you want and the power you need, from the simplest pod kits up to the most powerful mods.
Vaporesso Gen (Compact pod kits)
If you are new to vaping or want something straightforward, start here. The Gen Fit is the simplest device in the series: a 1200mAh battery, draw- or button-activated with three power levels, and MTX coils tuned for a tight, cigarette-style MTL draw. The Gen Air 40 gives you a little more to work with, adjustable up to 40W with a GTX mesh coil for a warmer, fuller draw. At 67g, it is also one of the lightest 40W pods you will find. Both make sensible starter kits, whether you are switching from cigarettes or moving from prefilled pods to a refillable setup.
Vaporesso Gen (Pod mods)
Pod mods sit between a pod kit and a full box mod, which suits anyone who wants more power than a pod without the bulk of a full mod. The Gen PT60 keeps everything self-contained with a 2500mAh internal battery, up to 60W, and the xTANK with top airflow to keep leaking down. The Gen PT80 S swaps that for a single 18650 cell, so you get 80W and the option to carry a charged spare rather than wait on a recharge. Both are GTX-coil mods, at their best with a warmer restricted direct-to-lung (RDTL) draw.
Vaporesso Gen (Sub-ohm box mods)
These mods are built for direct-to-lung (DTL) vaping, with open airflow and dense vapour. The Gen 200 and Gen Max are both powered by dual 18650 batteries and push up to 220W, the Gen 200 paired with the iTank 2 and the Gen Max with the iTank T, both 2ml in the UK to stay within TPD limits. If you want that style in a lighter, single-battery box mod, the Gen 80S and Gen SE cover the same ground at 80W. All four share the press-fit GTi coil platform, with COREX 2.0 heating. The 18650 models do not include batteries, so you will need to add a cell or two to your order.

Coils and compatibility
The Gen range has three coil families, and they do not cross over. A GTi coil will not fit a GTX device, MTX is its own platform again, and getting it wrong means a coil that either will not seat in the tank or will not fire at all. Always check which platform your device is on before ordering replacements.

If you are not sure which platform you are on, it is printed on the coil itself and listed on every product page, so it is quick to check before you buy.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do the Vaporesso Gen mods include batteries?
The built-in models (Gen Fit, Gen Air 40 and PT60) are ready to charge and vape out of the box. The 18650 models (PT80 S, Gen SE, Gen 80S, Gen 200 and Gen Max) do not include cells, so you will need to buy quality 18650 batteries separately, a single cell for the 80W kits and a matched pair for the 220W mods.
Do I need a separate charger for the Gen 200 and Gen Max?
Both charge over USB-C, but with a dual 18650 mod an external battery charger is the safer option, and it lets you keep a charged pair ready to swap in. Use matched, good-quality cells, and never mix an old cell with a new one.
Are GTX and GTi coils interchangeable?
No. GTX coils are for the Gen Air 40 and the PT60 and PT80 S pod mods, while GTi (press-fit) coils are for the sub-ohm mods. They do not fit across platforms, so match the coil to your exact device.
What wattage should I vape the GTi coils at?
Each GTi coil has its range printed on it. The 0.4 Ohm mesh is best around 50 to 60W, and the 0.2 Ohm around 60 to 75W. Start at the lower end and nudge the power up until the draw feels right.
